Studio 47 Designs is located in Brazil, Indiana and is a small but creative art and design studio owned by Stephen and Carolyn Phillips. The Phillips' both received their art education from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Stephen creates metalwork and sculpture using a plasma cutter to handcut steel, stainless steel and vintage metals. He handpicks each piece of metal and creates original designs that may be functional or purely sculptural. Carolyn creates jewelry and her style and media is constantly evolving and expanding. She is currently specializing in metal clay pendants and earrings. Her designs are individual and one-of-a-kind. You may purchase artwork directly from the artists or visit them during one of the juried art fairs they do during the summer.
