::Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many CLE credits do I need for the Florida Bar?

A: "Over a 3 year period, each member must complete 30 hours, 5 of which are in the area of ethics, professionalism, substance abuse, or mental illness awareness." - Florida Bar's Common Questions about CLER

Q: How many CLE credits may I take online?

A: All CLE credits may be taken in an online format except: they may not be taken to satisfy Rule 6-12.1 Basic Skills Course Requirement.

Q: How long do I have access to the materials?

A: Online course materials will be available for at least 90 days. Most courses included materials that can be downloaded and stored on your home or office computer, iPod, or other digital media players for your ongoing personal use.

Q: May I use CLE materials that I purchase for training at my business?

A: These materials are strictly for personal use only and cannot be modified in any way or used in presentations and the like without permission from Steven J. Willis. However, we will provide bulk sales of CLE at a discount.

Q: How do I obtain CLE credits?

A: Each course approved by the Florida Bar has a course number. You should report that number on your CLE reporting form. You may also report this on-line through the Florida Bar Association Website.

Q: I followed the registration process, but I have no access. What do I do?

A: Send an email to Professor Willis and to Joe Greaser, explaining the problem. Common issues: 1. We must add you to the database for the proper group. If so, we will add you and apologize.
2. You did not install the File-Open plug-in prior to registering the product. If so, you should uninstall Adobe Reader, reinstall it and carefully follow these simple installation instructions
on "getting started."
3. You are using Foxit rather than Adobe Reader. The pdf files will not work with Foxit. You must use Reader. You may obtain it free from adobe.com.
4. You cannot install the File-open plug-in when you click "run" per the "getting started" instructions. This could be because of a firewall or other setting blocking you from installing programs. You must obtain Administrative approval from your own technology department.
5. You are using a Mac without Windows capabilities. The pdf files will not work unless you can install an ".exe" file. 6. You installed the registration file on the wrong computer. Because the file is set to work on a single machine, you cannot use it on a second machine. Contact Professor Willis and Joe Greaser and explain the problem. When appropriate, we will authorize use on a second machine. 7. You never received a registration pdf file. Send us an email. We send them to the email address on file with PayPal. If you have multiple email addresses, you should be sure to check the one you use for PayPal.
